Sell eyewear wholesale to opticians and boutiques

ModaFlow.ai is wholesale software for eyewear brands: every model with its frame colours and eye sizes, optical and sun collections side by side, and a buyer portal where opticians reorder the frames that sell.

How selling eyewear wholesale works

An eyewear collection is a grid of model, frame colour and size. A frame might come in tortoise, black and crystal, in 48 and 51 eye sizes with a 20 mm bridge, and an optician orders one or two of each variant to build the frame board.

Optical and sun often sell to different stores on different calendars: opticians take optical frames all year and reorder what sells, while boutiques buy sunglasses for spring and summer. Shows such as MIDO, SILMO and Vision Expo are where much of the ordering happens.

What ModaFlow.ai does for eyewear brands

  • Frame colours and eye sizes

Each model has its frame colours as colourways with photos, and its eye sizes as a size run, each variant with its own SKU.

  • Optical and sun collections

Keep optical and sun as separate collections with their own line sheets, lookbooks and order minimums.

  • Eyewear fields

Record frame material, lens type, lens material and bridge width with each model for descriptions and line sheet copy.

  • Order writing at shows

Write orders on an iPad at MIDO or Vision Expo with a colour-by-size grid and a keyboard barcode scanner.

  • Reorders for opticians

Opticians reorder from a past order in your portal, with the lines back in the cart at current prices.

  • Minimums per model

Set a minimum per model or an order minimum for the collection, checked on every order.

Eyewear line sheet example

An eyewear line sheet lists each model with every frame colour photographed and the full measurement, eye size, bridge and temple, so an optician can plan the board. See more formats in our line sheet examples.

Frequently asked questions

How do I set up eye sizes and frame colours?

Add frame colours as colourways with their own photos, and eye sizes such as 48-20-145 as the model's size run, so each colour and size combination has its own SKU.

Can I sell optical frames and sunglasses separately?

Yes. Put them in separate collections, each with its own line sheet, lookbook and minimum, and share each collection with the stores that buy it.

Can I take orders at eyewear trade shows?

Yes. The order writer runs in the browser on an iPad or phone, supports keyboard barcode scanners and checks your minimums as you write.

What doesn't ModaFlow do for eyewear brands?

It does not bundle display units or frame boards with orders, so list a display as its own style, and offline order writing without a connection is not available yet.
