Sell cosmetics wholesale with every shade in view

ModaFlow.ai is wholesale software for beauty and cosmetics brands: each product with its full shade range and swatches, case packs buyers fill across shades, testers and display units on the order, and quick reorders.

How selling cosmetics wholesale works

Cosmetics sell by shade. A foundation can run to 30 or 40 shades and a lipstick to a dozen, and a store opens with the shades that suit its customers, then reorders the ones that sell. Testers for every shade on shelf and a display unit or tray usually come with the opening order.

Retailers also ask what is in the product. Expect questions about ingredients, shelf life and whether a formula is vegan or cruelty-free, and about compliance with the rules in their market, such as the EU Cosmetics Regulation.

What ModaFlow.ai does for beauty brands

  • Shades as colourways

Each shade is a colourway with its own swatch colour, photo and SKU, so a buyer sees the full range on one product.

  • Case packs across shades

A case pack counts across every shade of a product, so a store can fill a case of 12 lipsticks with the shades it wants.

  • Testers and displays

List testers and display units as their own styles with prices and minimums, so they arrive on the same order.

  • Beauty fields

Record shade name, finish, coverage, SPF, skin type, ingredients and shelf life, and mark products as vegan or cruelty-free.

  • Fast reorders

Stockists reorder from a past order in your portal, at current prices, and adjust shades before they submit.

  • Stock limits

Turn on stock limits so buyers can't order more of a shade than you have available to sell.

Frequently asked questions

How do I set up a product with many shades?

Add each shade as a colourway with its swatch colour and photo; each shade gets its own SKU, and the case pack and minimum count across all shades of the product.

Can stores mix shades in a case pack?

Yes. A case pack applies to the product across all its shades and sizes, so a buyer can fill a case of 12 with any mix, and ModaFlow checks the total before accepting the order.

How do I sell testers and display units?

List each tester and display unit as its own style with a price and a minimum, and buyers add them to the same order as the products.

What doesn't ModaFlow do for beauty brands?

It does not build planograms, track batch numbers or expiry dates, or host compliance documents for buyers, so send those files with your welcome email; it handles the catalog, line sheets, lookbooks, orders and invoices.
